we can see the light

After a long and hard summer, getting married, leaving, switching companies, and moving to Louisiana, we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. We only have a few days left here and Baton Rouge, and Bryant and i couldn't be more excited. There are however a few things we will miss..

1. The sweet lightning/thunder/rain storms

2. BLUE BELL ICE CREAM.. Seriously.. It's the best
3. Abita root beer
4. Smooth skin
5. uh..
6... Well.

Thats about it. This wasn't our favorite place. Not at all actually. But i really have enjoyed spending so much time with my sister in law and her two sweet little boys and roasting marshmallows on the balcony, but its time to go home. I just cannot wait to get back to Utah and actually be able to sit outside at night in the COOL air and not get eaten alive by mosquitos. I'm sick of the freaking huge loud bugs the buzz on my window every night. Little jerks.
But... I really have enjoyed this time Bryant and i have had to spend together as newly weds. It was really refreshing to leave Utah and make plans for the upcoming years. Rufis is as sweet as ever. He is growing like a weed. A 3.3 lbs. weed. I'm glad we brought him to keep me company :]
On Saturday morning we start the trek back to Utah. We will pretty much be driving all day Saturday and all day Sunday to get back in time for me to be at work on Monday. It will be a long painful drive, but at least I have Bryant to make me laugh through the night. :D This adventure has been really fun, but i am ready for the chapter to end. Maybe even a couple pages ago... But either way! We are coming home to our new house that we haven't seen finished yet. Yay!!!!!!!! I will see you soon Utah... Until then...

Life in the B.R.

So, Baton rouge is a hot sweaty place. I am definitely ready to be home in the nice hot days, and cool nights of Utah. BUT! Until then i guess! We have been doing a lot of fun things lately, but of course i forgot my camera charger at home in Vegas so i cant upload any of them, or take new ones for that matter.
Anyway! These are a few fun things we have been doing here in Louisiana.

We went to New Orleans for the fireworks on the 4th. It was really fun, and was supposedly the number 7 firework show in the U.S. I don't know about THAT... But it was still really good :] Bryant held Riley, his nephew, on his shoulders the whole time and he was so excited! It was so cute.

Us being goons on the way to New Orleans. Bryant brother Nick rented a Mazda 5 while we are here in L.A. and bryant and i get the back seat (it looks like a mini, mini van) Reese's pieces are our new favorite treats for a bit :]
We went to a national park/swamp in Baton Rouge and it was so fun! i got eaten alive by bugs, but still.. I'm glad i didn't get eaten by the bugs i got pictures of.. Ick.
What the heck? This spider freaking sucks. gave me the heeby jeebies.
This one too!!! He was staring at me... along with his other family members on the web. By the way.. Bry took all of these pictures. No way would i get that close to those things.
My sweet husband looking at all the snazy plants in the swamp. Love him.
Hopefully i will be able to charge my camera soon so i can take more pictures! I would never want to live here, but we are having so much fun being newlyweds in this new place. We are loving being married and can't wait for whatever else this sweaty city brings us!!

Boredom= New Hobbies

So while Bryant goes to work in the afternoon through the wee hours of the night, I sit at our apartment or Bryant's brothers apartment with his wife( I guess my sister in law now? once removed? Who knows.)Sarah, and her two little boys to hang out. After the boys go to bed, we are always trying to think of things to do or make. She is so crafty. In Utah she makes the cutest cards for every occasion. She actually made my bridal shower announcements for Bryant's side of the family. Anyway, I am not crafty. I want to learn to be, so we have been looking up crafty crafts to complete. I'm thinking we are going to go with some fabric flowers. I'm actually really excited! Instead of wasting time on youtube and google, which i did, i should have known better to just look up crafty Mormon ladies blogs. Duh Audge. We found some really cute ones that dont seem to be too hard! I will have to take a trip to the fabric store tomorrow so we can begin. I can't wait!!!

P.S. Louisiana is really hot
P.P.S My hair however, is definitely not hot.

New Blog

So i had problems with my old blog working with my yahoo account, so i got the guts to re-do everything. Yuck. But now I'm hoping i wont ever have to do it again! New Blog!

New Home

So, Change of plans. No to Oklahoma, yes to Louisiana! Bryant has already left to go to Baton Rouge for work and I have stayed back for work myself. I haven't been doing anything really except for getting allergy shots EVRY DAY which leave me with really pretty bruises on the back of my arms. Anyway, I have to go up to Utah to watch an audition for company members for the studio I work for at the end of June. So after that I can reunite with my man friend. Bryant's description of our new home is, "sweaty nasty hot" Oh how perfect for my sweet frizzy hair. Can't wait!................ ugh.

Married!

The day finally came.. and Bryant and I are married! Holy the craziest process ever. It started with my mom coming up to Utah so many times a month to help find things for the wedding because i was still in school, (THANKS MOM) and it felt like it would never end. School ended really well an i can't wait to get my last year of school over with! Anyway, Bryant had to leave on the second, the day after our open house in utah to head o Kansas for work. Which sucked.. but it was fun to pick him up from the airport three days before the wedding. It made seeing him that much better. After moving everything out of my house in Provo, and taking it to Bryant's parents basement...and pulling a few muscles in the process... sorry mom. My mom and i were on our way to Vegas. We spent at least 3/4 of the next three weeks or so in the car running errands. Seriously.. it was awful. BUT.. definitely worth it. After picking Bryant up Wednesday night, we headed to the temple thursday night for me to take out my own endowments. It was so amazing to have family and Bryant there. I loved it. (Susan said now I'm a part of the club. Sweet :]) Friday was pretty relaxed. We had some finishing up to do on the lights and things but thats about it! I was so excited that night i am surprised i actually got some sleep! We woke up, got ready, and headed to the temple. On our way we got a phone call from my best friend, and maid of honor, Tiana's mom saying they cancelled Tiana's flight from New York and wouldn't be making it to the wedding. I absolutely had my cry, but just reminded myself that we were on our way to the temple to be sealed to each other forever and eternity... The session before couldn't have gone quick enough. I didn't start getting nervous until we got in there. Once it was done, Bryant and i talked to the sealer for a bit then he left to see if everything was ready. Those 5 minutes were the longest of my life!!!!! It was so amazing and i couldn't have asked for anything more. I am so grateful for my heavenly father and for blessing me with such and amazing family and an amazing husband. Husband. Husband. Husband..... Weird. The reception was stunning!!!! Thank you so much Marleah. I was so amazed by everything that was done! It was so beautiful and so fun. Thank you everyone who made it out. The day was Perfect. I still can't believe i am married. It hasn't sunk in yet... But I'm sure it will soon. I'll stop babbling for now and save the honeymoon for a different post :] MARRIED! Woo
